Hey Wanda,
Its been awhile so I thought I would give you an update on Utah.
He is doing so great. Pretty much the perfect dog.
Thanks again for all that you did to help me get such a great dog.
Loves to play fetch in the park. He is great with commands and is a very quick learner.
Here are some pictures of Utah at about 6.5 months old
Thanks,

Dec. 14 2008
Hi Wanda. I thought that I would give you an update on our boy. He is doing very well and has fit into the pack like he was born here! The house training is coming as long as I take him out every hour for a pee! Last night him and Willow slept for 9 hours in their crates without a peep. We were pretty happy about that. When I took him out he peed for at least 2 minutes-how's that for bladder control in an 8 week old puppy? It was -30 this morning and hasn't warmed up much during the day so he is out for only short breaks. When it was warmer out he sure loved being outside playing with Willow. They get along very well now like typical puppies with pretty rough play. He gives as good as he gets! I have attached some pictures for you that I just took today of feeding time at Wakita.
Even Diesel and Becky share their supper with him.

I wanted to let you know that I arrived at my forever home safe and sound. My new Mommy and Daddy took me to the Pet store where I met Santa, and a bunch of his helpers. I got dog food, a new chew toy, biscuits, and a new blanky for my bed. I was carried by my new mommy all over the store (you ladies like to shop….) and Dad was wishing someone would carry him….but we had fun.
We then went to visit at my new Grandma’s and I had a little accident on the floor – she was awesome about it – and Mommy cleaned up my pee. It was the only accident I had all day – we will see how it goes tonight…..
I met three of my six new human brothers. They are awesome to me. Dad told them they are not allowed to feed me from the table (bummer) but I think the youngest one can be persuaded to share some of his goodies when my Daddy is not looking. The cat on the other hand I think does not like me much. She hissed at me and none of us have seen her since. I am trying to be her friend though and I hold out hope that one day we can be pals.
I am still getting comfortable with my new house – and sometimes my big feet end up in my food bowl and my water dish (sometimes at the same time) but Dad says I will grow into my feet eventually.
I just wanted to let you know that so far my first day is great. I am looking forward to tomorrow.
Give my mommy and my daddy a hug and kiss – and tell my brothers and sisters I miss them very much – as I do you…..but its awesome here…..mommy even put a radio on in the bedroom (Yes I sleep beside Mom and Dad in my bed) to help me go to sleep.
Miss you much!
Love Dexter
![]() LastMountains Nevada (Cassidy/Kruz)
Dec. 14 2008
Nevada is doing very well. She has the most wonderful personality. She thinks she's a large dog, and though she spent the first few days with a constant soakingwet head and neck and several screams of "Help me Mom" she is adjusting well. She runs to me to be rescued now and then, has discovered a few good areas to eat her bones in peace and still tries to keep up with the others and assert her dominance. She is very vocal and talks all the time, even while eating and thanking me later with a conversation. Koda does that too after every meal or bone.
Just a quick update :0)

Update October 2008
Good afternoon Wanda,
I have a couple of pic’s to send you. I am in the process of making up a CD with lots of pictures of Smokey. This passed weekend we were at a Lacrosse Tournament and a young girl who is a friend asked if she could take Smokey and walk and play with him and it was great. What a great demeanour, just a lover.

LastMountains Kaiser (Cassidy/Rocky)
Update October 2008
Hi Wanda!
Well what can I say about this fine young man we call Kaiser? He's very playful and full of energy! He listens well but likes to run away from me too. Especially when he's got something he shouldn't have. He likes to be chased. He loves his walks and likes it when we go to the off leash dog park. He likes to egg on other dogs just so they will play with him. He's going to be huge. Big paws and big ears!! Where ever we take Kaiser, we get nothing but compliments. He stops people in their tracks, he's so striking. He loves his family and doesn't like it when any of the kids leave. He's such a big baby when he plops himself on dad's lap to get a belly rub, one of his favourite passtimes. Thank you Wanda for such a wonderful gift. We love our puppy and we feel blessed that he is in our lives. Thanks again Wanda, you've helped make our family complete.
Yours truly,
The MacDonald family

Hope all is well with you all there.Kansas aka Brook is doing very well,basics are pretty much
handled.Her prey drive is high and we are working it daily.Her personality is awesome and can't
wait til she matures a bit as it will only get better.There has not been one person who's said
what kind of dog is that?(I get a lot of 'is that a police dog') LOL. Which in my opinion says alot.
She has fit in here beyond our expectations.Anyways again enuff babble from me and good
to see Desi's pups moving ,there parents will be happy and proud.
Thnx R and R

Hello Wanda and family:
Whew! What a week and a half.Brook bonded instantaneously to all of us here.Tons of energy with a
little bit of Attention Defecit Disorder to keep us hopping LOL.She has been totally awesome in the
housetraining department with one little accident.Ronnie took her to the vet on a leash and she was
an absolute princess clear across our small town.However she has been banished from picking her own
toys out of the pet shop as we spent 50 dollars on her picks and that novelty wore off before we got home LOL.But there is a good side to this, drop a radish on the floor and she plays for hours LOL.LMK
we can't express enough the joy you brought to our lives.
Thanks Folks, Rick Ronnie and Brook

LastMountains Kayla (Cassidy/Rocky)
Update Pictures..December 2008
Kayla came to stay with us for a week while her dad went on a trip. We enjoyed having her with us and took the opportunity to take a picture of Kayla. She is coming along nicely, has some filling out to do but she is only about 8 months in the picture.

![]() July 4th 2008
Hi Wanda
Well, the cat is now intimidated by Kayla. Kayla runs up to her and starts barking like crazy and the cat hightails it . Still no accidents in the house, she's got us well trained. This morning at 5:20 I got up had a very quick coffee and let her out of her bed. All the while not a peep out of her. I then took her outside and she went both pee and poop. I praised her like mad, hugged her and took her back in. Then I started a game with her after she had a good drink. I would take her kibble and hold it in my hand and she ate almost a half a handfull. Then I started tossing the kibble one or two at a time in front of her, sort of like a game and she ate them after pouncing on them. I think she got at least another half a handfull that way. She has already learned " fetch " because she brings me my smelly old barn runner and Joyce's slipper, socks, the bathmat ect, ect, ect. She's also not adverse in taking our socks in her mouth with our feet still in them, ha ha. She is careful about the stairs but whenever we can we carry her up and down.
We should have named her Shadow because she's always right beside us. Having lots of fun with her. Last night my daughter came out with her two little dogs, Shitzoo-Bichon cross and a Jack Russel Terrier. Well, her dogs were very excited to be out here and poor little Kayla was very intimidated to the point that she bark-howled-yelped for the first 10 minutes that they were here. After a while everybody settled down and it was Kayla who was wanting to play but the two little guys were all tuckered out. She got very insistent so far as barking, hopping up and down and even pouncing on them. Come on, play with me guys!!!!!! Bedtime was at 10 and she did about 10 seconds of crying and went right to sleep. Not a sound out of her for the whole night AGAIN, YESSSS.
Right now she is outside in her kennel and I am rototilling all my stuff. Never a dull moment around here.
Talk to you later
John

LastMountains Kosmo (Cassidy/Rocky)
July 4th 2008
good evening Wanda,
We would like to thank you for bring excitement into our family with the addition of Kosmo AKA "Smokey". The ride home was good, he wimpered for most of the trip but was very relaxed. We stopped at the Snack Shack for lunch and allowed him out to strech. We then headed home. When we arrived at home we took him for a tour of his new yard and he loved the large back yard and played with Jesse and our other puppy Bandit (Lisa's 5 month puppy). He has adjusted great to the family and the house, the kennel training too a little longer but it is working well today. he really likes the short walks (1/2 block) and all of the attention he is getting from both John and Jesse's friends.
He adjusted to the food and the water just fine with only 2 accidents in the house, our fault.Him and Bandit play like they were brothers and it has made it alot easier for him to adjust.
We will keep you up dated with everything and keep the pictures coming.
once again, thank you so much for this great opportunity and we look forward in years of friendship with you.
Your new family and Friends, the Duncan's

Hi Wanda,
We've named the puppy. His name is Kaiser. He's a sweet little guy. He's whining around a bit still but he's doing good. He likes to follow us around and doesn't want to be left behind. I can definitely tell a difference between him and Buddy when it comes to energy level. I can't wait to start taking him for walks! Anyway, I'll send you some pictures soon. It's hard to get a clear shot. Too fast!! And just to let you know, the first shoe he tried to eat was mine. HAHA!

LastMountains Kaleidoscope aka"Willow" (Cassidy/Rocky)
July 1st 2008
Hi Wanda,
I just wanted to give you an update on Willow. She is doing really good. On the way home she was
an angel, she sat with the kids on the seats, put her head on Noah and slept. No whining, or mess!
Her first night
she slept 7 hours, after that it's been about 6 hours.
She has had no effects from the change of food or water, we have her on a large breed puppy food,
chicken based and she is liking it.
She sleeps in her kennel and really has no issue with it if someone is in the room with her, so as of
today we are putting her in it and leaving the room. She fussed for about 30 min. but then had a nap,
we praised her when we took her out, we will keep doing this throughout the day until it's not a problem for her.
She has only had 3 accidents in the house, we have followed your advice and kept her on a pretty
strict schedule when it comes to eating and drinking. We are being trained to follow her signals :)
Willow is doing very well, we are very happy with her, her temperament is so laid back, she just kind
of does her own thing, she plays then goes and relaxes, she fits our family and what we were looking
for in a dog so well.
We will keep you updated on her. Thank you for the pictures of her at your place, what a great idea to
make a memory book with the boys.
All the best,
Jobse's

LastMountains Koby aka "Chevato" (Cassidy/Rocky)
July 1st 2008(edited personal info removed)
Good Morning Wonda ..
Just a quick note to let you know that Chevato ( Chevy for short ) sat on a red plump'd up dog bed
for the journey home .. he sat between Joe and I all the way ..
He didn't wine or bother with anything until about 20 mins out .. then I think it began to sink in
( that he wasen't going back home ) I began to sing and right on the spot .. he settled right in and
that was the end of his cry'n ..
He drank and ate well once inside the house and I am very pleased to tell you that Chev
has fit in just nicely with both senior males .. We kept the lil guy away from him last night .. and let Chev
bond with the big guy ..
Then at chev's last early morning bathroom .. I left the big guy outside and brought Chev in and both
him and I snuggled up on the matress downstairs ..
He slept pretty good through the night ..
My sleep .. well .. ( What sleep LOL ) .. kinda like bringing a baby home .. had to watch him :o}
I went and I had a chat with Tim about ( His ) new baby .. and he really understood .. I swear .. these dogs are smarter than ALOT of human s out here .
I didn't introduce Tim and Chev until about an hour ago (and it's about 11:30 am as I type) and they were
just fine!!
Tim right away went into Mama mode and gave Chev a bath on the spot .. Tim seemed pretty concerned
with Chev's ears .. lol . must be the dye from the tatoo ..
Now the cat ... uhhh huh .. lol .. just about midnight last night I put chev out in the back with the big guy
and I didn't even get 3 steps away from the door and I heard this cryyyyyyy .. I spun around in a heart
beat and saw him looking right at me but he was cry'n .. and I thought to myself .. what's up with that .. ??
I went to open the door and there Mr Coca_Lava stood with his eyes SO BIG .. I don't know who was more in shock Chev or Coca .. lol ..
The two of them haven't been in each others company since .. in eye sight but that's it ..
They'll figure it in time .. lol
That's about all I have to say at this time .. We are ALL having a blast with him ..
Hugs
Dianne

Here are some pictures from July 1st. She's a fast learner, our hard work and dilligance so far has paid off, with NO accidents yet, and with a reward on every successful potty time outside, she is whining to go out already. I know we are far from out of the woods, but its a nice start.

Update July 21 2008
hey wanda...
things are going great with utah. He is growing everyday it seems.
He is eating more now, we found him a food that he seems to like. He is a picky eater
We have puppy classes starting aug. 5th.
He has been an awesome pup so far. only a couple accidents (My fault not his). He goes to the door when he needs to go to the bathroom.
I am so impressed with him. Smart little guy (not going to be little for too much longer...). His ears are standing up.
He has done well with other dogs.....he is very social with both dogs and people.
Here are a couple of recent pictures of him......
enjoy,
Josh

Hi Wanda,
I just wanted to thank you again for all the time and effort you put into what you do.
I was blown away with how much care and love is shown to the dogs. You were very welcoming and the
experience has been better than i expected.
I had high expectations going in based on our emails, but you and little Utah surpassed those big time.
The ride home was really good, he was a little talkative for about 20 mins then settled right down and napped
most of the way.
He seems to be adjusting well to our place, he is napping right now. The first night went amazing.
He was a little apprehensive when we put him in his crate at first.
He settled right down again and went to sleep for 6 hours !! I wasnt expecting that. He woke up and i took him outside and he pee'd. He seems to know to pee on the grass already. Zero accidents so far. Again....
not expecting that at all. I know its still early but im wicked impressed.
Miko was a little worked up when we first got home. She was walked before we left but no other exercise
like we usually do. She had a little too much energy for him at first, he was a little startled and barked a little.
She got the message and calmed down. They are pretty good together, again its still early but it looks good.
So thank you so much for everything. You are extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. Its clear that you
have a passion for the dogs and thats the kind of person you want to get a puppy from because you know
that they will do whats in the pup's best interest. If you ever need a testomonial or want to use me as a
reference for other
potential buyers, feel free to just ask. I am really happy with everything, so it would be my pleasure.....
Thanks and i will keep you updated.

LastMountains Isabella (Desi/Kruz Litter)
AKA Hayley
Directly across the street are two large corner lot houses that are back to back. On the right, a couple with a poorly trained - high strung and constantly barking Great White Pyrenees. On the left, a retired couple .... super nice people, a sizeable man "Dennis" has told me he will not walk near the fence because he thinks that dog would attack him and does not trust it all. It's a gorgeous Saturday afternoon today when I get back from the Off-Leash Park with Hayley in the back seat. I park on the street and the windows are still half way down so she can stick her head out. Dennis comes out from his yard carrying a little baby all wrapped up and is heading towards me as I get out of my truck. I of course assume it's probably his grandchild and I'm correct ... his first little girl 4 months old and that he wants to show me .... - Nope - he wants his granddaughter to meet her first dog! He walks up to the truck, starts talking and smiling to Hayley and holds his granddaughter up to Hayley. Hayley has a sniff and of course a lick and off he goes. I was completely utterly stunned !!! He's walking back to his wife and daughter saying "I wanted her first encounter with a dog to be with Hayley, a well trained beautiful trustworthy dog"
WOW - I've had many, many compliments but that encounter takes the cake ...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is just another typical boring story about Hayley and it happens regularly. The other day at a park, I see a Border Collie running around with a couple, I let Hayley off the leash and she fly's over toward the dog. They start playing but the owner quickly calls her dog over and leashes her, ... surprised, I go leash up Hayley. The owners tell me their dog is verrrry aggressive towards other dogs, BUT - the Lady then says, .... I can't believe my Sophie was just playing like this ! She never does that .... I said well: Let me introduce you to Hayley the Wonder Dog.
Wanda I don't know what it is about this dog but every single time I take her to the Off-Leash Park, dogs just start having fun and playing like crazy when she comes around. Perhaps the most shocking thing to me is how unbelievably gentle she is around small dogs. I never panic when she goes running full throttle to some freaked out Woman who has her little Shitsu/Bichon (or any of these small things) beside her, .... she stops, sniffs, wants to play and NEVER has lifted even a paw to a little dog .... verrrry cool.
I now take her to the Off-Leash park every other day, .... the socializing is incredible. I can now walk her around my neighborhood on a leash (which is done religiously 7 am & 7pm daily, rain, shine, snow - whatever the conditions) and 99% of the time, she does not bark at any passing dog or a dog fenced that is barking at us. We starts "Manners Matter" training at Pet Planet this Thursday.
LastMountains Flyer (Cassidy/Kruz Litter)
AKA "Bailey"
Hi Wanda,
It's been a while since we spoke and I just wanted to let you know how Bailey is making out. He is doing great and in just another 10 days he will be celebrating his first birthday. He sure is an active fellow and he just loves everybody. So much for the theory of Shepherds being one person dogs. His temperment is unbelievable and everybody just can't believe how friendly he is. His best freinds are still the horse though and he just loves chasing them around the paddock. He keeps both the horses and himself exercised at all times. When Susan longes the horses in the round pen he will run around the outside along side the horses as long as she is exercising them. It's very funny to watch but he really seems to enjoy it. Again I would just like to comment on what a great breeding progam you have to be able to put out such beautiful and well behaved dogs. He has brought so much joy into our lives over the past 10 months. Thanks again. I have attached a picture for you. It came out a little blurry so I will try and get a couple more for you later on. Talk to you later!!! Dave
I bring her in my office when I work, although I haven't been getting much work done cause she's into everything...lol. I'm sure with time that will change she is a bit too young to expect her to be good while I work.
That's about it for now except that I wanted to let you know that we are very happy with her and we love her alot. I attached a pic of her......let me tell you it is very hard to say no to this face...lol.
CASSIDY BRUCE LITTER
![]() Hi Wanda,
How are things? Things here are great. Mya is wonderful. She is a beauty and she is pretty smart. We have been going to puppy classes and I am quite impressed with how well she is doing. I think its safe to say she is completely potty trained.....no accidents for weeks now. She is so full of energy and can be quite a handful sometimes. We have introduced her to the dog run, she's not too impressed if she is in there by herself but I'm sure she will adjust. I don't think she will spend alot of time in there anyway but that is where I take her to go potty and she already knows when we go out I tell her to go to jail and she makes the turn to go in there....lol. Anyway, I wanted to thank you again for this gem. I was wondering if you think I should try to show her. You had mentioned that all the girls would probably do well in the show ring.
Thats all for now, take care,
Shel
LASTMOUNTAINS INFLIGHT
AKA THOR
DESI KRUZ LITTER
Hi Wanda,
I just wanted to give you an update on Thor.He's doing great! I love him. He is very clever.
The second night I had him, we went out for a walk around the neighborhood.
We walked down the street and sort of did a circle 8 thing. He was a little wary
of all the strange noises and smells and cars driving by and fire engines and sirens
and dogs barking but eager to check things out. He'd stop every so often and
occasionally need a little reassurance but he did very well. As we circled around,
the last leg of our walk was the same block that we started the walk on. As soon
as we got to that block, Thor picked up our original scent and got all excited,
figured out where we were and was right at the end of the leash, ears up, tail wagging
and led me back to the house. I was amazed! It was also the first time he'd been on
a leash and did very well.
He's been very good at night, as well. He'll sleep for 6 hours straight. He gets
up after about 6 hours, I hear him and get up and let him out and he goes pee outside.
He's had a few accidents in the house but generally he's been very good. Last night he
slept for nearly 8 hours. I was aware he was moving around so I got up and let him
out and he went pee and poop outside. He didn't have any accidents at all yesterday.
He's very good in the car. He lays down in the passenger side bucket seat of my car
and is perfectly calm. I can go into the store and he just sleeps. No concern about
being left alone. I also left him alone in the house last night for about an hour. I was
over at a neighbors house and I left him in my bedroom (where he sleeps as well).
For the first couple of minutes he whined and scratched at the door but soon settled
down. I checked on him about 15 minutes later and he had just layed down and went to
sleep. An hour later he was still just quietly sleeping. I let him out and he was very happy
to see me and perfectly happy.
He's shown no indication that being separated from his mom and siblings has bothered him in
the least. He's so happy and confident. He's also met lots of new people and my friends dogs. Colin (the pilot)
has a big standard poodle that doesn't much care for bouncy, bubbly puppies. He growls at Thor
and has snapped at him acouple of times and knocked him down a couple of times but Thor just
takes it in stride. He'scautious of a dog that out-weighs him by 3 or 4 times and keeps growling
at him but isn't frightened.Thor also met a little tiny Chihuahua. He wasn't sure what to make of
that! He barked and barkedand for the first little while wouldn't go near it but then after a bit
they were running around the yardhaving a blast together. Thor also met my Dads dog, a border collie
cross. And they had a good timetogether.
He's eating just fine. I picked up a bag of Iams puppy food. He's
perfectly happy to eat it dry andwill eat a cup of it 2 or 3 times a day and lots of fresh water.
He knows his name, don't bite, be gentle, give me a kiss, lie down and come - sometimes - if he feels like it!
He's bonded so closely with me right from the first few minutes. He
follows me around the house everywhere.
He's wonderful, I love him. Thanks Wanda.
Scott.
Hey Wanda Its AJ and Danielle. Long time no talk sorry about that. But basically just emailing to check on things and let ya know how mopar is doing. Well he went to his first day of puppy school on thursday and he loved it it was good for him to get around other pups again as he hasnt really seen many other dogs(just daniellels parents toy poodle and other dogs we see on walks). Colleen the instructor was extremely impressed and used him as the "DEMO" dog for every excercise but one which made us very very proud. He knows lay down,sit,speak,go lay down,shake a paw and more is coming. Although at most times he is a wonderful pup he is still a PUP. Loves to chew and full of energy which is alright Danielle and i have both lost 10lbs plus since hes been with us i guess thats just an added bonus for having a rambuctious puppy. But the main prob i guess is he still having accidents in the house he actually just had one while i was typing out this email. Basically what made me ask about this is that his sister "HAYLEY" is officially potty trained so just wondering if we should worry or you have and worries about it or any other suggestions. But other than that Danielle and i cant thank you enough for such a wonderful dog he has brought somuch joy to us. And the new puppies look great but they dont seem nearly as big as mopar was at that age maybe beause it was a much bigger litter im wondering. OH yes and as you can see he looks amazing and one of his ears is finally standing up full time.
But i guess ill let you get back to your busy scheldule and tanks again for a wonderful dog.
PS hope to hear from you soon and we will keep in touch and send more pics.
![]() ![]() Hi Wanda,
Hayley is a wonderful addition to our family and is quite a character. I don't know what kind of genetic DNA splicing you're up to out there, but we're sure smitten with our girl ! First off, she's drop dead stunning, ... what a beautiful dog. I can't go anywhere with her without people constantly wanting to see her and telling me what a gorgeous dog she is. But of course our number #1 criteria was temperament and she's off the charts ! I couldn't script a better personality: confident but cautious, playful but not needy, strong but not aggressive, full of energy and zest but not hyper, ... amazing disposition.
In puppy class, she was larger than all the dogs and because she "rough-houses" so much at home with her 6 year old step-sister, I was concerned how she would be with smaller dogs. Well, in our puppy class was a little Pug, ... and I mean little. I was shocked to watch Hayley be so gentle and playful with this little dog, ... but at the same time ... really get into it with a larger and older male retriever. But a monumental moment was last Thursday when we started Intermediate Classes. In comes this 1 year old 60 lb male with serious social disorders. The poor guy is shaking with tail between his leg he's so terrified. I was very concerned because a dog with this kind of disorder in my mind could be very unpredictable. By the end of the Class he's running around, wagging his tail and having a grand ole time with Hayley! The owner of this male dog and the Trainer were absolutely shocked with this sudden turnaround! That's my girl I thought, ... Hayley the Wonder Dog !!
Hi Wanda, glad you got Smokey's pics', you'll be getting a few more as my picture taking experience comes along,lol. What I can do is post them on my online photo album, this way you don't have to download the pics. Would you prefer this? I also would like to mention that I went over to my friends place on the weekend, for his farwell bar-BQ, and took Smokey with me, there were quite a few people who came over and I must say that he loves his people! One fellow in particular, said " I've never come across a Shepherd with such a wonderful temperment." This makes his dad feel proud. Not only is Smokey a handsom dog, but his demeanor is exceptional. I would have to credit you for this as I feel you had also pampered him while he was with you.
Anyhoo, I couldn't be more pleased! Have a great day. Terry.
Tayzer is AMAZING!!! I enjoy her so much!!!
Especially because my brother and sister love to go dirt biking and I am not that keen :-) so
Tayzer and I go checking mole traps, feed the horses, take care of the cats, go looking at ducks
(or chasing them :-)) She is awesome and I wouldn't trade her for the world! I took here to this
dog training session in a town close by. Boy when she saw those other dogs she wanted n
othing more than to tell them that she was there (a.k.a. barking :-)) But soon she quieted
down and did AWESOME! She catches on soooo easy. But I was wondering if you are
going to have a session some time that we could take her too. Sure this one was ok
but it was nothing big. All we did was learn how to positively teach our dogs things,
which was good.
I am not sure what kind of 'checkup' you are exactly talking about for sure... s
o could you sort of help me out on that :-)
Things are going extremely well, we are all loving his looks, playfullness,and
catching on with bahavior.Doug said when he picked him up he was clean and
no mess noticeable in kennel.The water bottle was half full and few pices of
food in dish.
We were well equiped with a bag of things he might need except a collar .
He & Doug are so bonded I am very surprised.Doug never bonded close to our
last dog because the one before hiim was so special.Doug always said Ruddy was
Dawn's dog.This dog was suppose to be mine as well but looks like I have some
big competation this time.We named him Storm last night, it was a name of a K-9 G.S. that
Doug heard of and also because Doug picked him up in a storm.I don't know what do you think?
I wanted Hanson & Alicia liked Hunter.He didn't eat until Thurs.and he ate well the stools are solid not runny now.Good ,easier to pick up.No fuss with kennel ,he stayed in the one he came until
last night I put him in his new one ,it ajust from puppy to larger dog.Good night last
night he was so quite I thought he died from Bloat .HAHAHA.He
is suppose to be with me now ,Doug took him too pee not back yet.All
good sign's I just checked they are playing in snow.Wanda he is so lovable and playfull.
Thank you.As for house training we cleaned two spots so far ,
we are watching him carefully and know the sign's of gotta go.As soon as
he wakes and after a nap.I realize I will be trained first he will catch on later.
Also thank you for you notes it was a good read and I didn't know about bloat.
I had always left food in the dish to eat when ever they wanted to eat but my
other dog didn't eat much any way.I will watch that this time.
I'll keep you posted..............Dawn
I see Haven and Ice are now gone. That is great! Hailey is doing awesome. We are training for at least 15 minutes, twice a day. She knows sit, stay, come, down, leave it, and of course NO! Ha Ha Ha! She also just loves to sit on our deck and bird watch. We have a bird hotel in our yard and she could watch them for hours! She is a great dog but can be a real NUT some days. She rips around the house like a crazy dog and then just flops down and goes to sleep like 2 seconds later. It is hilarious! Hope all is well with you guys. Hope all the dogs are doing good! I have attached a new picture for you to see her growth! She is huge and everyone comments on it. Oh and she absolutely LOVES people.
Take care and enjoy the pictures. The picture with the cupboard in it is where her treats are so she spends alot of her time standing there waiting for treats!
Hi Wanda! April 7 2007
Hailey is doing absolutely wonderful! She is now sleeping through the night for 7 hours at a time. She walks on a lead wonderfully and loves to play and have lots of fun! She listens very well too,most of the time! Of course she listens to Paul better than me! He just has that way about him! She is completely house trained! We love her soo much and she fits in great with our family! Thank you for the wonderful puppy!
Anyway I hope you and your family have a great Easter! And I am
sure Haven will sell, Paul keeps asking me if I want to get her??
I told him he is nuts! Easy for him to have 2 puppies when he isn';t home all day and doesn't get up at night! Maybe in a year or so though, we may get a male pup from you!
Take care Wanda and I will keep our site updated so
March 17 2007
Her mature color. Hi Wanda,
I thought I would send a picture to you along with an update. I like this picture with the snowfall coming down. Maggie has now been spayed, and has finally started putting weight on. We had switched her food to Science Diet upon recommendation of the vet, I think he may get a
kick back from Science Diet considering the amount it is. We are continually pleased with Maggie's progress and temperament. A while back I could not find Carter in the house and finally he gave away where he was hiding, he was in Maggie's kennel with Maggie in front of him,
so all I could see when I looked the first time was Maggie in her kennel. The are the best of buddies. Maggie loves to track, all you have to do to get her on a trail is say "find it" and her nose
hits the ground until she finds something. Maggie has found her big deep protective bark
which is nice and she will stop when told to knock it off. Maggie loves going to the kennel
when we go away on travel, she has two different kennels she goes to, so she gets to see
different K9 friends at each.
February 1 2007
![]() Hi Wanda,
Just thought I’d send you a little note to let you know how Bailey is making out. He is doing great and every body just love him to pieces. He has one of the best temperaments that I have ever seen in a German Shepherd dog. He loves to see company coming and he is always there to greet them with his tail wagging and a big old doggy kiss. It’s great to know that I made an excellent choice in getting a puppy from your kennel. It goes to show what wonderful dogs you have and what a great breeding program you are running in breeding quality puppies. The couple of issues we had earlier with the loose stool and getting him to leave the property has long been cleared up. The change of food to Medical really seems to agree with him and he loves it. There is no problem getting him to go for walks now either, he is getting pretty curious and brave and is starting to venture a little further off the property. We really try to keep him in check there because we don’t want him to start roaming.He is getting along great with the horses now and I think he has really bonded with the new mare we have. She is the third horse and was really cast as an outsider by the other two horses, so it seems that her and Bailey have really bonded and become good play mates. I will send you some pictures of them playing together; it is really nice to see.That’s all for now, I just thought you would like to know how he was doing and I will attach a couple of pictures of him for you. He is really going to be a big fellow, he was 62 pounds at only 20 weeks of age when we had him weighed at the vet’s office. She called him a small horse and estimates he should mature at around 110 pounds or so. Talk to you later and thanks for keeping the testimonials up to date, I look forward to reading them and seeing how Bailey’s brothers and sisters are making out. Talk to you later.
Every so often I wander over to your site and enjoy the new GSD's you've got on hand. You sure have some beautiful dogs! Keda is doing great. Ever the watchful companion, she gets along with everyone but warns us of strange goings on. Keda even proved to be a trustworthy chicken guard as proven by the attached photo. We had 2 batches of chicks last year and never lost any. She and copper play like they are 2 and 3 years old yet! The vet is always impressed with her character and she always gets extra treats there becasue she wins everyone over. She follows me around and hates to be without me. We wouldn't trade her for anything. I taught het to "wipe your feet" before she can come in-quick learner. She does have awesome movement too, doesn't she? Hope things are going well for you and the family.
It's a cold windy morning so it is a good time to get some pictures together for you. Ruger at only five months of age is starting to become the dog I told you I was looking for. He is a very smart pup and has learned to live in the house. He understands the obedience commands but needs a lot more practice to ignore distractions and to pay attention.
He is a typical German Shepherd puppy with lots of energy and confidence and needs to be disciplined when he thinks he should be the leader of our pack, it usually doesn't take much to make him understand that there are things that are unacceptable. He has no fear of strangers and likes
everyone he meets. I know that he will be a good companion that I will be able to take anywhere.
Thanks for choosing Ruger for me...
Thanks for the xmas e-card. We took some pictures of Dawson today for you to see. He's been growing so fast.
We've been strength training him every day by making him chase the stick, walking him, and... truck pulling? lol
He's very well proportioned, getting as many as three walks a day and his agility is pretty good from chasing the stick in the kennel. He walks pretty good on most days, usually better after getting some exercise first. Today we were passing the ball around trying to get him used playing with it. Stacking is still a challenge, he can't sit still for very long. We had to exercise him a bit to get that picture after a couple of tries. Dad had him socializing with another male shepherd named Askim not too long ago and he was very good, calm and playful. Pouncing on him with his huge paws. The owner was very impressed with his looks. Dawson is a big eater at night, last night he had a couple of servings, he was so hungry! Should we still be feeding him twice or three times a day? He doesn't eat so much in the morning. Play has become more of an outside thing, we've been more recently disciplining him to play less inside to try to stop him from chewing on things he isn't supposed to and behave a little better inside. At the same time, we still let him play with |
