-Bailey is getting along great with the horses now and I think he has really bonded with the new mare we have. She is the
third horse and was really cast as an outsider by the other two horses, so it seems that her and Bailey have really bonded
and become good play mates.
-Tayzer and I go checking mole traps, feed the horses, take care of the cats, go looking at ducks
(or chasing them :-)) She is awesome and I wouldn't trade her for the world!
-Keda even proved to be a trustworthy chicken guard as proven by the attached photo. We had 2 batches of chicks last
year and never lost any.
-Colleen the instructor was extremely impressed and used him as the "DEMO" dog for every excercise but one which made
us very very proud. He knows lay down, sit, speak,go lay down, shake a paw and more is coming.
-MAC IS JUST TERIFFIC HE HAS SIT , STAY , COME , DOWN , SHAKE A PAW , ALLL DOWN PACK NOW , WORKING
ON SPEAK AND , AND BANG PLAY DEAD . HE HAS BEEN THE EASIEST DOG I HAVE EVER OWNED TO TRAIN SO
NATURAL WITH LITTLE WORK UNBELIEVABLE BOY
-Hailey is doing awesome. We are training for at least 15 minutes, twice a day. She knows sit, stay, come, down, leave it,
and of course NO! Ha Ha Ha!
-Last night was the last beginner class,Smokey won the most improved dog certificate in the class! I'm very proud of him.
He passed the class with flying colours and we are going to attend the advanced beginner class when it starts.
-We are continually pleased with Maggie's progress and temperament. A while back I could not find Carter in the house and
finally he gave away where he was hiding, he was in Maggie's kennel with Maggie in front of him,
so all I could see when I looked the first time was Maggie in her kennel. The are the best of buddies. Maggie loves to track,
all you have to do to get her on a trail is say "find it" and her nose.
-I just wanted to drop a line to let you know that Fidget is an amazing puppy. I have had a few pups in my life, but I have to
say she is among the smartest. She is learning all the tricks and behaviours we challenge her with and comes back for
more.
-Very stoic during a drive that was long even by human standards. Especially considering he had already travelled 7 or 8
hours with you and Greg.
Thanks so much for your help in getting him to us. We managed about 5 hours sleep saturday but by last nite/this morning
he had settled right in. Not a peep. Alice keeps him pretty active during the day and assists in the poopy-parade
department. Krauss very rapidly learning "outside" and "house". She has already sacrificed many tail and butt hairs to
kraus's sharp little fangs. The "little man" is asleep at my feet as I type this. He gave a whine when cindy left for work this
morning. He has learned to scratch at the door to get back in the house not bad for day 2.
-We are amazed at how quickly he is learning, he comes when he is called, let's us know when he wants out, sleeps
through the night, and has had few accidents inside ( and only when we were busy and not watching!) Incredible when you
consider how cold it is! Considering he has only been with us for 4 days, he has adapted to many new situations amazingly
well, including visitors, family dogs, and just the hustle and bustle of Christmas.
-Dexter is almost fully house trained. I say that only because sometimes if we go to bed early – his little bladder cannot hold
all-night and he pee’s on the floor – in the same spot – in our bathroom – so he has learned that people pee in there so why
can’t I? Now if I could only get him to aim into the toilet – lol.
I can honestly say that he has no bad habits to speak of.
-She's a fast learner, our hard work and dilligance so far has paid off, with NO accidents yet, and with a reward on every
successful potty time outside, she is whining to go out already. I know we are far from out of the woods, but its a nice start.
-He has been an awesome pup so far only a couple accidents (My fault not his). He goes to the door when he needs to go
to the bathroom.
-You are extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. Its clear that you have a passion for the dogs and thats the kind of
person you want to get a puppy from because you know that they will do whats in the pup's best interest. If you ever need a
testomonial or want to use me as a reference for other potential buyers, feel free to just ask. I am really happy with
everything, so it would be my pleasure.
I would just like to comment on what a great breeding progam you have to be able to put out such beautiful and well
behaved dogs. He has brought so much joy into our lives over the past 10 months. Thanks again. Dave and Bailey
-She has been totally awesome in the housetraining department with one little accident.
-When we arrived at home we took him for a tour of his new yard and he loved the large back yard and played with Jesse
and our other puppy Bandit (Lisa's 5 month puppy). He has adjusted great to the family and the house, the kennel training
took a little longer but it is working well today. he really likes the short walks (1/2 block) and all of the attention he is getting
from both John and Jesse's friends. He adjusted to the food and the water just fine he and Bandit play like they were
brothers and it has made it alot easier for him to adjust.
-What a great temperment and super smart puppy!!!! And not because he is our pride and joy either .He heels, sits, lays
down ,stands , all with out a lease !!!!We also play with him to search in the house and that is not a problem
for him. Amazing little guy. He barks, gallops around the greatest of airs. Anita and Max
-All is good, Kudo is pretty much house trained so she will ask to go outside to do her duty.
-So, about my dog...He is awesome. He is a confident, happy well mannered puppy. He has been a breeze to train. By the
time he was 8 weeks old, he could sit, stay, lay down and shake a paw. He knows how to speak now, but the word "speak"
is not the command. I have to say "ruff!!" He is so cute! He walks well on a leash and if I let him off the leash in the park, he
never runs further than 50 feet infront of me and always comes when called. Tulsa is very patient with kids and never
aggressive towards other animals. He is gorgeous too. I dont have any pictures of him on a computer yet that I can send
you but if you look at the pictures you have of Rocky at 7 months, its an exact replica! Tulsa was weighed last week. He was
70 pounds. Im taking him to get neutered on March 2nd. I couldnt be happier with the puppy I received from you! He is
exactly what I wanted. Kyle and I thank you very much for our addition to the household. Within the next year I would really
like a little girl! I will keep in touch about that. Ill let you know when its time :)I hope all is well with you and the babes.. I came
across two other people who have purchased puppies from you and it was nothing but positive feed back! Take care :)
-He is almost 11 months old now and still the same great dog.He loves playing fetch (even when its minus 33 like today).
The frigid fetch sessions dont last nearly as long as usual but we make it out everyday no matter what the weather.
-He’s such a good boy Wanda, so far we had one very small tinkle in the house last night and all the rest of his business has
been outside. He slept all night without a peep, had a big breakfast and did his job outside again.
-We thought Akira would be a little scared when we first got home but she acted like she lived here for a long time already.
-One fellow in particular, said " I've never come across a Shepherd with such a wonderful temperment."
-We just got back from Kaiser’s first visit to our local vet. He had his booster shots and I was given a second de-worming
treatment to administer at home. Dr. Victoria grew up with German Shepherds and owns them now, she’s a big fan of the
breed and couldn’t say enough good things about Kaiser while she examined him. He’s in perfect health and she was
immediately won over by his easy going and inquisitive personality. He continues to shine in whatever situation we put him
in.
-As you know they are both a wonderful addition to my household. Koda is a lover. He gives kisses to everyone he meets
and loves to cuddle. He is my gentle boy though the first to sound an alarm when someone or something has entered the
yard
-Dennis comes out from his yard carrying a little baby all wrapped up and is heading towards me as I get out of my truck. I of
course assume it's probably his grandchild and I'm correct ... his first little girl 4 months old and that he wants to show me ....
- Nope - he wants his granddaughter to meet her first dog! He walks up to the truck, starts talking and smiling to Hayley and
holds his granddaughter up to Hayley. Hayley has a sniff and of course a lick and off he goes. I was completely utterly
stunned !!! He's walking back to his wife and daughter saying "I wanted her first encounter with a dog to be with Hayley, a
well trained beautiful trustworthy dog" WOW - I've had many, many compliments but that encounter takes the cake .
-If there were a rosette for "Best of Breeders", Last Mountain Kennels would have one for the wonderful job you do in
socializing your pups. I visited your recent litter of ten and could see you were doing a great deal to get your pups ready to
face the world. My daughter bought one of that litter and brought her for a visit of several hours just a few days later. What an
awesome puppy! You could tell this baby had come from a kennel where more than one person had handled her, where she
had been allowed to explore her world and where she had already been taught some behaviors are good while others are
not acceptable. A confident happy pup. I commend your socialization program. Jackie Ball (October 12/06) German
Shepherd Breeder
- He has one of the best temperaments that I have ever seen in a German Shepherd dog. He loves to see company coming
and he is always there to greet them with his tail wagging and a big old doggy kiss. It’s great to know that I made an
excellent choice in getting a puppy from your kennel. It goes to show what wonderful dogs you have and what a great
breeding program you are running in breeding quality puppies.
-He's doing well with the other dogs and is figuring out the horses. We're starting to work on some commands - namely
stay. He's already great with come and sit. We're so happy to have Fraser and would like to send a big thank you
your way.
-With only two classes remaining we will move on to intermediate and agility classes in the coming weeks. He particularly
loves going to school and seeing old pals, as well as meeting new ones. Amanda at the RKC says that Dexter is coming
along nicely and is not afraid to try new things, as he entered into the “tube” exercise by shoving two other dogs out of the
way to be the first one to run through the tube by himself. He is very brave and not afraid of much – even loud noises do not
put him off, but rather something for him to investigate.
-He seems to be adjusting well to our place, he is napping right now The first night went amazing.
He was a little apprehensive when we put him in his crate at first. He settled right down again and went to sleep for 6 hours !!
I wasnt expecting that. He woke up and i took him outside and he pee'd. He seems to know to pee on the grass already.
Zero accidents so far. Again....not expecting that at all. I know its still early but im wicked impressed.
-She is 3 months today and 30 lbs !! She responds to: "Come" "Stay" "Sit" and is officially potty-trained ... she cries to go
outside
-First off, she's drop dead stunning, ... what a beautiful dog. I can't go anywhere with her without people constantly wanting
to see her and telling me what a gorgeous dog she is. But of course our number #1 criteria was temperament and she's off
the charts ! I couldn't script a better personality: confident but cautious, playful but not needy, strong but not aggressive, full
of energy and zest but not hyper, ... amazing disposition.

-How are things at the ‘Last Mountain’ kennel? Will named, (blue collar boy) Luke… the trip to Calgary was a success.
We had stops in Swift Current, Medicine Hat and made it home in a very timely manner. The last month has been fun,
Luke keeps us busy and entertained… he started puppy training last week and has mastered sitting, down, stay, shake
a paw, and spin… to date. I have attached a few photos for you to see.
-I have had so many people stop me and ask me about my puppy. They comment how beautiful and how gentle she is.
One lady said that she has never seen a German Shepherd be so gentle. Her dog did not even bark at Avery and that is
very unusual for her dog. She was also impressed by how much Avery looked to me for direction. (not my doing as I have
not had any formal lessons on how to train a dog).
-Odin started level one obedience today after a more or less two week lay off. Took him to his first class tonight and he
hasn't forgotten a thing. In fact, he was totally awesome, never budged a muscle during the long down stays, and sit stays,
even though the other dogs were moving all around him and we haven't done long stays like that before. Haven't practiced
walking on leash for a week either as he had hurt his foot, and we were resting it and we had the best on leash walk ever!
If he keeps going like this, his title isn't out of the realm of possibilities.
- Just wanted to give you an update on "Kodiak".
He has adapted very well to his new home and is truly a WONDERFUL puppy - I love him so much. He is obviously very
smart. He is doing very well with both his crate and his house training. He has had only two accidents - one was totally my
fault - on the first day he woke up from a nap and I didn't take him out right away (hadn't read you guide yet!), and he had
one accident in his crate early on. But otherwise he has done really well and when I take him out and ask him if he has to
pee he typically goes if he has to then comes running to me for a big praise!!! He willingly goes into his crate at night - he
does wimper for a few minutes but then sleeps through the night. He is getting along well with all the other animals,
including the cats who like him when he doesn't try to play with them!! But they are keeping him in his place!! He loves to
be snuggled and patted and told what a good boy his is!! He is learning to play with his toys and my hair!! (I had to put a
stop to that!!). I have been working on getting him to sit and he has learned the command "out of the garden"!!! (he finds
that one very hard!!) Anyway, just wanted to give you an update. It is hard to be at work right now as I just want to get home
to my puppy!!!
-This is just a quick note to let you know how happy I am with Cooper. He is such a great little puppy he has been
doing well with his crate training he had been whining after he had finished his treats and wanted to be out with us but
I found he would settle down right away if I stayed beside the crate for a couple of minutes. Potty training is going
fantastically when I take him out and give him the command he goes every time! He has been sleeping and eating
well. He is amazingly cuddly and happy to be petted and groomed. Like you had told me he is always very keen to be
involved with whatever we are doing which is great (almost like having a new shadow). He is very inquisitive and has
no fear of new people or household noises. As the weather here was miserable yesterday (not ideal for the first day
with a new puppy!) we played inside and worked on some crate training, he also understands 'sit', I am so proud of
him and it is only day 2!

I cannot say enough good things about Cooper and I know that you have heard alot of these same comments from
previous customers as shown on your testimonials page (basically you could take all the good comments off of there
and they would all apply to Cooper) but I want to keep you in the loop and let you know how happy I am and how much
of a pleasure it has been dealing with Last Mountain Kennels. I will do my best to stay in touch as he grows and
progresses and to send you photos of this extrordinarily cute litlte puppy.

-Cooper had his second round of shots on Saturday and handled it fantastically, he didnt even realize he got them!
The vets and the receptionists all loved him, as does everyone that meets him. Crate training is working out great as
is toilet training. I had told you that he has picked up basic commands already and we are continuing to practice
these at least three times a day in short sessions, he really seems to enjoy it. When we go for rides in the car he lays
down in his crate and has a nap which makes me laugh, obviously I am not a very exciting driver...We have been
going out on short walks, it did take him a few times to get used to being on a leash but now he seems to be
grasping the concept, he does well now whether it is me or Sherry at the other end of the leash. Everyone we see
while we are out stops for a pat and a chat about him and he is very well behaved while doing so.

I just wanted to let you know that everything is going great, the vet said he is looking very well and is in perfect health.
He nedds a booster shot in another 4 weeks and after that we can start to go to puppy school, I am really looking
forward to this. He weighs 8.8 kgs now and is starting to look alot bigger. He is very close to holding his ears all the
way up.
Sept 09 .....
-Absolutely love my pup. She is doing very well and is growing everyday. She now has had all three set of shots and we
are starting obedience classes tonight. Very excited about that. We have been going on a lot of walks and she is really
getting to know her neighborhood. She knows when we are walking away from our house and when we are walking
back. As soon as we change direction back to the house her pace quickens and you can tell she knows were are going
home.
I was also thinking of enrolling Avery in some agility training. Four months is okay for her to start according to the
instructor. I want to stay active with Avery and ensure that even in the winter she is getting good exercise and mental
stimulation.
Any insights you have on agility training would be helpful as I appreciate your advice.
Everyone who sees Avery comments on how beautiful she is and are impressed by her high pointed ears.
-Maverick has settled in quite well in the neighborhood, and has done a great job of making friends with the neighboring
dogs, and has a wide variety of friends including a sheltie, 2 dobermans, a few labs, a great dane, and even 2 chihuahas!
The kids take turns walking him on our outings, and he's usually pretty good but has got distracted by the odd butterfly!
He's got lightning fast reflexes, and I don't need a flyswatter right now as he does a pretty good job of taking care of any
flies he sees in the house!
Maverick is quite attached to his "people" (mostly the kids!) and does a pretty good job of making sure they are all
rounded up. He's not aggressive in the least, but he is very intent on always making sure he is in between them and
anyone new, usually by laying on their feet, or leaning up against the kids (him and Beckett who is 4 have toppled over a
few times!)
-We (Jack) are in puppy classes right now and we are learning lots, this week we are learning leash training and stay. Our
trainer Janet loves him, she said he is a very calm and easy puppy to work with. He is calm for a puppy, if there is such a
thing. He plays lots and will be bratty and then will just go off and sleep in his kennel which is nice. He's getting big fast, I
can't pick him up anymore. I have included a couple of pictures of him, he's pretty cute. He is getting nuetered in the next
couple of months so I will stay in touch and send you the paperwork once this done.

-Just wanted to let you know that Miss Abbey was a really good girl at the groomers last week. It was her very first bath and the first
time I've left her with strangers. Everyone at the "doggie spa" said she was such a sweetheart - she gave kisses to everyone.
They were very impressed with her good nature. Thought you would like to hear this news! I know you're not surprised because
this is exactly what you strive for in your dogs. They also said she was "so beautiful" but we knew that too! lol
-Thought that you might enjoy checking in on Que.
We graduated from puppy school......Que did well.....will take her to advanced beginner in the fall. As well may do beginner
agility.Steady progress with her.....the classes benefitted me as well as Que...remembered many things....Cheryl did a great job.
Que and Abbey are still a work in progress....2 bossy girls...they have been together several times over the last 2 weeks.
As you can see Miss Que is much loved....hope you have a wonderful summer.
-Hope all is well with you and your new and up and coming litters. I have been meaning to email for some time now but the kids
and the puppy have been keeping me very busy, as I’m sure you know from experience. Everything is going really well with
Neeko. Potty training and crate training he has been a breeze with. His puppy nipping hasn’t been too bad we are always on top
of it. I had to mend a few things but nothing too major. He will still occasionally mouth the kids but with an AHHHH he will usually
change it to a lick. I can see that he is getting it. He has bonded well with us. He love to be near and by your side we love him very
much. He is a swimmer, loves to be in our pond. He jumps off the island part into the water and goes right under. It looks very silly.
We just finished puppy kindergarten and we will be starting a life skills basic class in July as well as a search and rescue fun class
in October. We do a really good job draining his energy. The only problem that I feel like I’m having is getting him to ignore other
dogs. He gets very focused and will bark with excitement at them wanting to play. He is more vocal than I’m used to with dogs. He
knows speak and quiet and does them well but the other dogs are very distracting for him. I have seen improvements and so has
my instructor but if you have any advice please feel free to share it.
-Just a quick note to tell you that Rythmn's first day of classes was AWESOME!! She had already learned some stuff that we learned
tonight but that is all thanks to her terrific owner!! She is doing well though, very quick to learn. She got her 3rd set of boosters
yesterday. The vet said that she is VERY healthy and is slow and steady. I was happy to hear that because as we had discussed
we both think that is important. Rythmn was an easy exame for the vet because she fell asleep on the table. A deep sleep at that,
she was snoring!! Her diet now consists of a teaspoon of yogurt for the extra calcium. We are slowly working our way up to a
tablespoon. She hasn't got the runs yet so I plan to keep it that way lol. Her ears seem to be wanting to stand up little by little. Thanks
for the hint. Well that is all the news for now! I will keep in touch and let you know how she finishes her obedience glasses.
Take Care

-I took these pics today at the park. I thought you might want to see them. Rthym is doing very well in school. She gets along with all
the other dogs which are min. pins. she just lays down to get on their level. Its cute! We are going to Advanced classes started this
Thursday. She is quick and eager to learn. VERY willing to please, easpecally for a ball. I love working with her and teaching her new
things. Her new trick latley is pushing her empty water dish across the floor. Its really cute. I hope all the new puppies are doing well
and things are good with you and yours as well.
-I just wanted to send you a note telling you how happy we are with Rajko. He's a gorgeous dog. Everywhere we go people stop
and tell us how stunning he is.
He's full of energy, but has no problem calming down when we need him to. He never jumps and rarely barks. He's incredibly alert
and protective of us already. He loves other dogs too--we took him to my parents' farm and he loved hanging out with their giant
malamute. We let him run but he never left our sight, and always came back when we called. He's very obedient.
He just loves water too. He wants to jump in every puddle he finds. We got him a paddling pool and he loves to just sit in it or dig at
the water.
We started him on the next set of obedience classes with the RKOC and he's taking classes with his sister, Rhythm. They had a lot
of fun playing together when they were first reunited. I'm not sure if they remembered each other, but they certainly had fun. Her
owner and I were discussing how she looks like Kruz and Rajko looks like Desi.
We've found the best dog food for him too is the PetSmart brand, "Authority." It's got the same general ingredients as the brand you
suggested. He is doing much better on it and it seems to be the only kind that agrees with him.
Thanks again for all your advice and support. You make beautiful, well rounded dogs!
-Hi Wanda, we are home safe and sound and have fallen madly in love with this little angle. She is so cute with so much character
and a beautiful personality. We decided to crate train the first night after we noticed her keen interest in chewing and that is going
fairly well but she can really make lots of noise for a tiny girl. We have been holding our own and not giving in even when she howls
in the night. Actually I was wondering if you gave us a werewolf by accident LOL. Wanda the fact that you really care deeply for the
animals a successful adoptions is evident in all the extra effort put forth in this process. The extra care and dedication has not gone
unnoticed and we appreciate it greatly! I will would recommend your business to all that are acceptable clients.
Thanks again and I will stay in touch.
