This is where the boarders stay, there are two rooms in this building and we can comfortably accomadate 8
dogs. There is a full sized raised tub in case someone requires a bath, and a small fridge for any food or
medication that needs to be kept cold.
There is a door leading to the runs you see, in the picture there are 3 that are approximately 7x9 and 5 that are
4x8.
Some have dog houses, or crates without doors in them, some have nothing as some dogs climb on top to try
and get out.
In the winter months the dogs are let out only long enough to do their jobs, and then are back in the warmth of
the building and put into their crates.
We are considering wooden decks in the outside runs as well. Currently the base is gravel/dirt with wire burried
under that for those who like to attempt digging.
This area if off our back door of our house, you can see
the back end of the boarding kennel, and our garage as
well. The dogs are allowed to play back here providing we
are not using it for our Mom dogs who use it when they
have pups in the house. We can be in the kitchen watching
the dog/s play in this area. It is safe and secure as you can
see.
These next few pictures show you around the
acreage...some changes have occured since these
where taken, but it will give you a bit of an idea.
Our German Shepherds Compounds and Kennel Barn. This has changed quit a bit, but you get the idea.
There is a lot of area to go for walks especially in the spring summer and fall. We will take boarders for walks
providing they are good on a leash, we will not take out dogs who pull or drag us around the property. Winter in
Saskatchewan is not really what I call dog friendly, but we get through it as best as we can.
We have 4 pastures, and we have miniature horses, who are out in these pastures, but again, we can take the
dogs into these area's on leash and go for walks as well, again providing they are good on leash. Some of the
larger breeds, like it when we take them with the quad, so they can really stretch their legs, again everything is
done on leash.
Hope you enjoyed seeing a bit of our place, what we have to offer, and we look forward to hearing from you!
