German Shepherds -German Shepherd Breeders- German Shepherd Puppies
Last Mountain Kennels, offers a small but cozy Country Boarding
facility. We can accomadate up to 8 dogs in various Kennels. Dogs
who stay with us, must be kennel/crate trained, and people friendly to
allow us to handle them without issue. This is a small personalized
kennel, but is not for every dog/owner. Our inside facility is heated
and air conditioned in the summer. Our outside runs, are 4x8 and
7x9 in size. We have a large play area for the dogs on an individual
or family basis, or if we feel there is compatibility between visitors.
Please feel free to contact us and we would be happy to send you
our pamphlet, or talk to you in person, regarding boarding your dog,
and if our facility would work for your pet. We have number of regular
clients so please contact us in advance to book.

We continue to strive for and achieve solid structure temperament and
trainability, in our German Shepherds, producing dogs that will be able
to take part in all disciplines.

Wonderful family homes are first and foremost for our pups. We focus
our program on the family dog providing protection through presence.

Show and working dog potential are very important to us as well, and
we keep that drive in our dogs, but not to the extreme, as most families
are not looking for a high drive dog, and families are our main
clientele.. We have always, and will continue to breed for the standard,
and work ethic of the breed, utilizing our favorite, West German
Show/working lines and some North American Show lines. We have
some of our German Shepherds in great show homes, and we
ourselves continue to take part in the show ring, from time to time, and
we do well which illustrates our dogs are keeping within the standard
in the eyes of the judges. We also have our German Shepherds with
other breeders which I think shows, that we are succeeding in the
eyes of our peers, who are wanting to improve on something within
their lines, that our dogs offer, just as we do when we bring in new
dogs to our program from other breeders. We thank them for seeing
the potential in our dogs. We will continue to put great effort, time and
energy, into our German Shepherd breeding program, utilizing
German Shepherd dogs from exceptional bloodlines, which in turn,
strengthens the breed we love, and ensures you our clients, the
opportunity to add a well balanced, German Shepherd into your family,
whatever your choice of activity. We invite you to come and visit us and
meet our German Shepherd dogs. We have many visitors throughout
the year, and enjoy spending time with you and answering any of your
questions.. Coffee is on, and we look forward to meeting you!

March/April 2010
We are awaiting Desi and Kruz's litter of pups which are to arrive
in about 2 weeks.
UPDATE: This litter is SOLD OUT.

The temperatures although somedays very cold have given us
some nice breaks and allowed the dogs some beneficial outdoor
time. Winter in Saskatchewan can prove to be quit cold and when
its very nasty the dogs are not out for long which in turn does see
them getting bit cabin fevered but with the breaks in the weather
from time to time it does help alot.

We would like to take a moment to thank our Foster families who
have agreed to foster some of our top dogs which allows them to
live their lives in a family setting. These dogs will return to LMGS
when required in the breeding program, then return to their
families when their responsibilities are completed.
Special thanks to Kyrsti and Nancy who have Rocky and
Pheobe, Clint and Family who have Titan, Brian and Barb who
have Josi and Jess and Lee who have Chevy. This is turning out
to be a wonderful program, and we are very happy that these
families have taken on the very important responsibilities there
are to fostering a dog from our kennel.

We have not been doing to much around the acreage this time of
year. I have done a bit of horseback riding on Rayven, my
recently purchased Quarter Horse Morgan cross...and I hope to
get some of the dogs to join me once they are socialized to the
horses. Our youngest pups are great with the horses and cats as
they have grown up with them, but the older ones not so much,
since we did not have the horses or the cats at that time, which of
course didn't allow them to be socialized to them.
